CIIIC 2026: Empowering Immersive Creativity
At CIIIC 2026: Empowering Immersive Creativity, we brought together creators, practitioners, researchers, policymakers and organisations from across the immersive experiences (IX) ecosystem. The aim was to facilitate the exchange of practical knowledge and to encourage collaboration across different sectors, in order to accelerate the development of meaningful, accessible and sustainable immersive experiences.
Highlights from the five tracks
The programme was divided into five thematic tracks:
- Track 1 Immersive Technologies as a Training Method
- Track 2 Artistic Development & Distribution
- Track 3 Immersive Experiences in the Public Domain
- Track 4 Healthcare & Patient-Centered Immersive Experiences
- Track 5 Designing for Inclusivity
The report includes a chapter for each track with an overview of the most important outcomes of the discussions and exercises. At the end of the report, we have summarised a number of overarching insights drawn from all the tracks.
Outcomes and next steps
We produced this report to help everyone working in IX apply what they have learned, and to inspire future research and projects within the IX community.
Many thanks to everyone who attended CIIIC 2026. We hope the event sparked new ideas, meaningful conversations and collaborations that will move the field forward. Enjoy the read!
